Tammy Faye is the second track off of Heart Shaped Bed by Nicole Dollanganger. The title refers to the controversial American Christian singer, evangelist, talk show host, and television personality, Tammy Faye Messner.
The line "I love you so madly like Sadie Mae" is a reference to Susan Atkins, an acolyte of cult leader and murderer Charles Manson. While living with him her alias was Sadie Mae Glutz aka "Sexy Sadie."

The 2018 Stereogum interview revealed that it was written one night in August of 2017 when Dollanganger couldn’t sleep. Early in morning, she crept away to write and “it just kind of spilled out of me at this weird hour. For me, the songs that happen like that - they speak to me the most,” she said. It was later re-recorded in Tomasi’s studio. The first snippet was released on March 20, 2018.
